ABOUT

Next Generation Incubation Scheme (NGIS) is STPI’s comprehensive incubation scheme which has a vision to drive the rise of India as a Software Product Nation so as to make India a global player in development, production and supply of Innovative, Efficient and Secure Software Products thus facilitating the growth across the entire spectrum of ICT sector as envisioned in the National Policy on Software Products (NPSP) – 2019.

NextGen Start-up Challenge Contest (CHUNAUTI - Challenge Hunt Under NGIS for Advanced Uninhibited Technology Intervention) is a series of online Challenges under NGIS.

Following the success of the 16 Challenge Programs, STPI is now prepared to launch CHUNUATI 8.0, the call for application, to identify and support promising startups working towards building products/solutions in Emerging Tech. 

WHO CAN APPLY

The eligibility criteria for a start-up to apply in the challenge program shall be as follows:

• The challenge invites the proposals/applications from Indian Start-ups *who are working in domain related to software product development.
• Start-ups registered with DPIIT under start-up India program are encouraged to participate in this program.
• Individual Academicians, Researchers, Educators, Entrepreneurs, partnership firms, LLPs may also participate, however, if they are selected then they will have to register as private limited company in a stipulated time (preferably within 3 months).

*At least 51% shareholding with Indian citizen or person of Indian origin. The applicant’s entity should not be a subsidiary company of any foreign corporation.

Note:
(a) The Start-ups submitting the proposals/applications can be in any of the stages viz. Ideation Stage, Validation Stage, Early Traction Stage, Scaling Stage Start-up.

2024

STPI has launched FinGlobe CoE in Financial Tech at Gandhinagar, totalling to 24 operational CoEs pan-India.

Further, STPI launched its 64th centre at Kochi, Kerala & 65th centre at Bhagalpur, Bihar.

STPI-registered units contributed Rs. 9,433,12.666 crores to the software exports.

2023

STPI launched 2 more CoEs including Kalpataru a CoE in Industry 4.0 at Vizag and Efficiency Augmentation CoE at Bengaluru, totalling to 23 operational CoEs pan-India.

STPI-registered units contributed Rs. 8,48,398 crores to the software exports.

2022

STPI launched EmTek a CoE in Emerging Technologies at Rourkela, totalling to 21 operational CoEs pan-India.

STPI launched the 62nd centre at Meerut, Uttar Pradesh & 63rd centre at Davanagere, Karnataka.

STPI, in collaboration with ESC, launched a startup initiative "Building the next unicorn-mission to USA".
Under this mission, 33 startups were selected for global exposure & funding support by visiting the USA.

STPI-registered units contributed Rs. 6,28,330 crores to the software exports.
