Women entrepreneurs can apply for CHUNAUTI 2.0 before August 31, 2021. Seed funding of up to Rs 25 Lakhs will be provided through Financial Institution to each winner based on innovative ideas, novel solutions, strong team and sound business proposal.

The central governmnet has invited applications from women entrepreneurs for CHUNAUTI 2.0 before August 31, 2021. NextGen Startup challenge contest (CHUNAUTI - Challenge Hunt Under NGIS for Advanced Uninhibited Technology Intervention) is a series of online Challenges under Next Generation Incubation Scheme (NGIS).

"Women tech entrepreneurs, apply for CHUNAUTI2.0 before August 31, 2021. Seed funding of up to INR 25 Lakhs will be provided through Financial Institution to each winner based on innovative ideas, novel solutions, strong team & sound business proposal," Digital India tweeted.

STPI, Wadhwani Foundation sign MoU to promote ecosystem for startups

Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), an organization under MeitY, on Wednesday signed an MoU with Wadhwani Foundation’s National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) to promote entrepreneurship and create a nurturing ecosystem for startups incubated at STPI.

The STPI has been working for creation of the startup ecosystem in the country and establishing 25 Centres of Entrepreneurship (CoEs) in various emerging technologies, it said in a press release.

Wadhwani Foundation (WF) through NEN will be conducting a 14-week bootcamp programme “NextGen IGNITE” for startups selected in Chunauti 1.0.

The India BPO Promotion Scheme (IBPS) from the Government of India has played a pivotal role in setting up BPO/ITES operations in several small cities across the country and thus creating employment opportunities for local youth. IT industry braves Covid-19, clocks ₹1.20 lakh cr exports in Q1

STPI pegs IT exports in 2021-22 at 8-9%
If the first quarter export numbers are any indication, the Indian information technology industry is poised for a 8-9 per cent growth in exports in the current financial year.

The IT companies attached to the STPI have registered exports to the tune of ₹1.20 lakh crore in the first quarter ended June 30, 2021.

“During the pandemic year, the Indian IT industry displayed great resilience to global disruptions and delivered services and solutions to their clients across the globe,” Omkar Rai, Director-General of Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), has said.

The growth was triggered by factors like significant adoption of cloud and emerging technologies by enterprises across industry verticals and rapid digitisation by MSMEs (micro, small and medium enterprises) to become competitive.

STPI launches Chunauti 2.0, to focus on women tech entrepreneurs in Tier-II cities

STPI called upon women entrepreneurs in the tech space in Tier-II cities to apply for CHUNAUTI 2.0. It will accept applications under NGIS till August 31.
The Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) on Friday launched the second edition of CHUNAUTI to boost promising tech startups in Tier-II cities, with a special focus on women entrepreneurs.

The online challenge under Next Generation Incubation Scheme (NGIS) will be accepting applications till August 31.

Ajay Prakash Sawhney, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) , clicked open to unveil the contest during the event, "Enabling Women Entrepreneurs to Co-author the Innovation Growth Story of India."

Sharing information in this regard an official spokesperson of the University said that more than 6,000 students from 60 educational institutions from 10 states across the country had participated in the event.
